Blake
Spurlin has done projects for me in The USA,
Germany, England and Malaysia. He is one of the
most reliable people I have ever met.
Accomplishing some very difficult tasks at the
most inconvenient times with difficult people to
work with.
No matter how hard and difficult the task was in
countries on the other side of the planet, the
results were always award winning. Blake’s gift
of knowledge and understanding in the
photography field is outstanding. He has always
made sure he is up to standard with the newest
techniques and technologies. His level of being
able to work with me on high level projects
worldwide with politician’s diplomats and
business people on every level never left him
intimidated to get the job done right.
Tasks he has done for me: Trade missions to
Germany, England, and Malaysia. Industrial
photograph, portraits, political events. Photos
of myself with President of Bavaria, Germany.
Prime Minister of Malaysia, CEO of Siemens
worldwide and many other diplomats and top
business people.
Thank you Blake for all your assistance, you are
the best.

My
first reaction was to use a different photograph for the
Missouri Professional Photographers Convention in 1988.
I went ahead and used this image that I had taken of a
fellow photographer after he bought his first BMW. I
never regretted the decision after winning first place from
hundreds of photographs entered at age 24. |

In creating this
website I have written all about the style that makes my
photography and video unique and fresh. Instead of
writing a biography of boring highlights that won't help
Google find me any easier, I have put together a
number of images from near and far. After all, if you
are going to hire a photographer be sure he or she is
complete into the craft. |

Kuala Lumpur Malaysia |

The
farthest I have traveled for a photo shoot was Kuala Lumpur.
My sponsor ,Digital Media Network, chose my services for my
18th shoot with them and my third intercontinental photo
shoot under their sponsorship. After receiving the official commission
and travel plans I started preparation for the trip. I
took 7 thousand photographs in a 8 day period. Each
evening I prepared all of the images from that day, backed
it up on DVD and uploaded to DMNI back in Fort Lauderdale as
a secondary backup. |

The Petronas Towers are a
marval to take in. There are so many angles to
approach but this image is one of my favorites
because of the city element. I took this image
from the motorcade. During my 9 days in
Malaysia I saw only 14 police officers, what
an incredible society to have respect within all
ranks. The buildings are all unique and the
mass transit system keeps a city population of 7
million people on the move. Visually, this city
has more McDonald's than any city i have been
globally. I didn't get to a McDonald's there
but i did make the Starbucks, the nicest one I have
ever been to. |

The
national greeting and farewell of Malaysia
is the right hand over your heart and a
slight bow. I went to the hotel bar
one night and I gave this greeting to the
manager. He stopped and repeated.
when I went to leave he held his hand up and
the entire establishment went silent as he
gave me the national farewell, I returned
the gesture. It was one of those
moments you never forget. |

While in Oklahoma I always drive the country roads, for many
hours, to find cows, bulls and windmills. Both of
these images were taken from the road shooting into the
animals environment. I think they know how much I want
the image and that is why they pose for me.

If you ever
want to go to a place in the far north that you can
picture yourself living there Vancouver is the
place. Besides the great scenery and
activities that you usually only see on the
Olympics. Of course the winter Olympics were
there just a few years ago and you may remember this
image as the backdrop of the evening news from many
networks. This is the view from the Pan
Pacific hotel. The cruise ships park there as
well. |

The
ride on the enormous ferry to Vancouver
Island is scenic, Bouchart Gardens is
unbelievable but this image of a private
plane with endless wilderness down that path
of water always intrigued me to be a place I
could be satisfied to live. I took
this photograph on the back side of Bouchart
Gardens. |
